About the Festival

 

The Anciff Film Festival is a renaissance in the development of the content industries of Africa and the world at large. It is about creating awareness to shaping  “stories” of the  industry in Africa and to the international community Stories that will promote family value system, it is about growing audiences through new approaches to distribution; and it is about supporting the development of our content and creative industries.

The Anciff  Film Festival will highlight for the world in a spectacular way all the works and workers that are driving the economy of this industry into its new future.  Every year the festival screens more than 300 short films in different sections exploring the diversity and richness of the short film – from new film to retrospective programmes, from fiction film, documentaries and experimental film to animations

Ananse Cinema International Film Festival is a meeting place for audience and film industry. Buyers, distributors and festival representatives have access to a video library during the festival. The festival offers filmmakers many opportunities to meet their audience, and discussions are held both at the screenings and at special director´s talks.
